History

Our magazine is at the core of the ADSHG's history; the first newsletter was sent in April 1992 by Deana, ADSHG Founder and Patron. 

She had asked Professor Mike Besser, one of the leading adrenal specialists in the UK at St. Bartholomew's Hospital, to answer medical questions in the handwritten newsletter. 

The magazines have come a long way since 1992, but the principle of sharing real-life experiences alongside expert medical advice remains. We aim to provide the best advice and information we can to our members to help and support living with Addison's or other form of adrenal insufficiency.
