Let us help you to organise, market and run an emergency injection training practice session, in person, in your local area.
We are there to help with many aspects of the event, and all attendees will go home with a free ADSHG Injection Training Kit to use to practice at home.
- Your expertise in delivering the injection training (2-3hr session if you include a Sick Day Rules refresher too). For a group of 50 we recommend a minimum of 2 healthcare staff.
- Venue support, where possible, if your trust has access to a suitable space with AV / projector to support a presentation.
- Provision of needles, syringes and vials for training.
- Booking management
- Marketing (posters, social media, member emails)
- Help with preparation for slides/presentations (images etc)
- FREE Injection Training Kit for at home practice for all attendees (worth £14.75 each)
- Venue where not otherwise available
- Teas and coffees, where not otherwise available
- Charity representative to manage registration
- Shop products available for purchase by attendees

What NHS Trust or hospital are you representing? Where do you think it will work to run the event? Do you have a venue available, or do you need the charity to source one?
When?
What date(s) are you thinking of? Due to the small team at the charity and existing calendar commitments, our preference is to have the date around 6 months in advance.
What?
An agenda we find works well is:
A review of who is in the audience (type of adrenal insufficiency, how long they have been diagnosed, and who has had an adrenal crisis). This helps to know what further information is useful for the group.
Options to be prepared to include are:
- Review of the types of adrenal insufficiency
- Time-critical medication and Sick Day Rules refresher
- Symptoms of adrenal crisis and emergency injection
- Injection demonstration and practice with a minimum of 2 members of staff for 50 people.
