Nearly 50 people affected by adrenal insufficiency attended an ADSHG emergency injection training event near Newcastle, delivered in partnership with Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust. Led by Jane Craig and Joanne Wardle, the session combined Sick Day Rules education, hands-on injection training and peer support to help attendees feel more confident and prepared.

Advanz Pharma has confirmed the permanent discontinuation of liquid hydrocortisone (hydrocortisone sodium phosphate), for the prevention and treatment of adrenal crisis. Whilst this news is concerning, hydrocortisone sodium succinate (powder) is an effective alternative and support, training and guidance are in place to help build confidence in emergency injection preparation.
