AddiPath is a web and mobile app designed specifically for people living with Addison’s disease and adrenal insufficiency. It provides structured support for daily condition management, medication adherence, and emergency preparedness.
Built from real-lived experience, it combines practical tools with a simple, focused interface to reduce risk and improve confidence in managing the condition day-to-day.
Main purpose
To help individuals with adrenal insufficiency manage their condition safely, consistently, and with greater confidence — particularly around medication timing, symptom awareness, and emergency readiness during an adrenal crisis.
Why was AddiPath created?
AddiPath was created by a founder (Kelsey) living with Addison’s disease, after experiencing the lack of practical, condition-specific tools available. Existing solutions were either too generic or not designed for real-world use. AddiPath was built to solve that gap — prioritising simplicity, reliability, and real-life usability.

Adults with Addison’s disease or adrenal insufficiency, as well as carers and close family members.

How does it work?

Day-to-day, the app provides timely notifications to support adherence and routine. Users can quickly check their medication schedule, review their emergency information, and ensure their condition is being managed consistently.

In the event of illness or an adrenal crisis, AddiPath provides immediate access to critical information, including emergency instructions and ICE contacts. This ensures that both the user and those around them can act quickly and appropriately.
The app focuses on reducing cognitive load — particularly during times of stress or fatigue — by making essential information and actions easy to access in seconds.

- Plus (£2.99/month): Expanded capabilities with unlimited medication reminders, journaling, appointments, enhanced alerts, travel mode, community access, and data syncing.
- Pro (£6.99/month): Full feature access including AI-powered insights (Abbie AI), advanced emergency planning, shared care tools, extended data history, and enhanced reporting.
All paid plans are subscription-based with no long-term contracts, and users can cancel at any time.
Privacy & Data Security
- User data is securely stored using modern cloud infrastructure, with encryption applied both in transit and at rest.
- AddiPath follows GDPR principles, with a strong focus on data minimisation and user control.
- Data collected includes basic account details, medical information entered by the user (e.g. medication schedules, notes), and usage data to support app functionality.
- Data is retained only for as long as the user maintains an active account or until deletion is requested.
- AddiPath does not sell or share personal data with third parties; any third-party services used are limited to essential infrastructure (e.g. hosting, analytics) and operate under strict data processing agreements.
- Users can request full deletion of their data at any time, with processes in place to ensure permanent removal.
