We envision a world where Addison’s disease and adrenal insufficiency are recognised early and managed effectively so that anyone affected can live confidently and thrive.
Adrenal insufficiency is an endocrine condition where the adrenal glands do not produce enough of certain essential steroid hormones. While they can be replaced by following a strict medication regimen, it is far from an exact science and patients live with the risk of a life-threatening adrenal crisis if their cortisol levels fall too low.
Without the ADSHG I don’t think I would be where I am today, with work, friends, or my health in general.
